We had a wonderful, packed weekend. My father-in-law flew in for four days and we had a great time as always. Samuel took to him very quickly and the pair made some cute memories.
Also, we were finally able to dedicate Samuel at our home church. They only have one dedication a year, so today was finally the big day! With 40 kids, all their families and only 15 minutes between services to actually do the program, it was a bit chaotic. Still, it was very special to dedicate Samuel to the Lord and vow to raise him as we feel God would be pleased.
Below is a family shot right before the dedication began. Samuel was a very happy boy despite missing his morning nap!
Here is Samuel with his Pup pup. They had a great time making memories.
Here is a shot of the boys before the dedication...
Grandpa and Mimi were there for the big occasion as well...
Here is a sweet picture (although a big close) of Samuel during the program...he was a good listener:).
The slideshow was fun to watch. He was 2 days old in the first picture, 5 1/2 months in the second and 7 months in the last. Please ignore the wings on the other screens...it goes with the series the pastor recently started.

Happy 10 Month Birthday!!
Today is Samuel's 10 month birthday! I really have a hard time grasping how fast the last 10 months have flown by and how life changing they have been. It has been the greatest joy to watch our little boy learn new things, give affection and capture our hearts more and more each day. It's so neat to watch his unique personality traits surface. He is a fun loving, tenderhearted baby who knows what he likes and doesn't:). It's going by so quickly so we are just enjoying the ride and all the wonderful moments. Here is a little video from this morning....

Samuel's First Haircut!
Today was a big day for the little guy. He has been flirting with a baby mullet for a few weeks, but I wasn't quite ready to take the first haircut plunge. Well, today was the day. We took him to Snip-it's for a very simple trim, just a little off the back and sides. He thought everything was really cool up until about the second snip...then it was a different story.
Here he is settling into his chair, checking himself out in the mirror.
This picture is funny blown up because he is realizing he does NOT like this lady messing with him. I don't think he was keen on the cape either.
No question...this is NOT a happy boy and haircuts are for the birds! MUCH better--let's finish this up in mama's arms. He still didn't like being messed with...
Here is he--mullet free! You can't tell any difference in the front, but his little cut looks quite handsome. He wasn't ready to give any smiles, but was relieved the deed was done. We have a little "My First Haircut" certificate and a lock of blond hair. Another first for the baby book!
